Kabana Rooftop is hard to miss when visiting the Marrakech medina. Located at a five-minute walk from the famous Koutoubia and right next door to hotspot hotel El Fenn, this is a cosmopolitan place where you can relax, eat, drink and even enjoy nightlight (Kabana hosts special parties and there often are DJs setting the mood right). Once you walk up those famous stairs, next to the pink parked Vespa, you’re in for a treat. You’ll find a gorgeous open air rooftop terrace with a Koutoubia view, a modern interpretation of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, signature cocktails and an lively, often fashionably dressed, crowd from all over the world.

That’s right, Kabana Rooftop has certainly been discovered by tourists. So ever since I stumbled upon it around 2021 (they officially opened their doors in September 2019) it must have been appearing on many must visit Marrakech hotspot lists. So make sure to book a table in advance. Just walking by testing your luck is hardly impossible here, especially during dinner time.

What we love about this place is it’s signature style. There are pictures of famous people all over the building, the terrace is very unique, playful and lounge-y and the staff is even wearing Kabana uniforms/merch that is giving Casablanca (the fashion brand) vibes. So completely in style, from head to toe. You can also order alcoholic drinks and try their sushi menu. Whether you’re in for a refreshing afternoon cocktail or an evening-filled party programme; Kabana Rooftop has it all.
